Their friendship is played with such tenderness. There is genuine warmth between them. That’s something I really miss in more recent adaptations.
Also, even though I almost only care for shows that focus on women and genderqueers these days, Brett Holmes always moves me. Even though I’m fed up with the dudebro stuff, this still works for me.
